Who We Are
The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority is a statutory body responsible for looking after the Brecon Beacons National Park – a protected area covering 520 square miles of wild uplands, rolling countryside, waterfalls, market towns, and historic sites.
Our mission is to protect and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage of the Park, while promoting understanding, enjoyment, and sustainable use of this special place for present and future generations.
What We Do
From maintaining footpaths and conserving habitats to delivering outdoor learning programmes and supporting local communities, our work is wide-reaching. We also operate the Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre in Libanus, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views, pick up walking information, meet local craftspeople, and relax in our on-site café.
