Teithio i’r Lleuad

Gellir dadlau mai llwyddiant fwyaf erioed dynolryw oedd glanio deuddeg o ofodwyr ar y lleuad a’u dychwelyd yn ddiogel i’r ddaear unwaith eto. Dyma stori’r llwyddiant hwnnw a’r bobl a fu’n rhan o’r daith. Er enghraifft, a oeddech chi’n ymwybodol:

Y bu i’r siwrnai ddechrau mewn trasiedi

·       Y record cyflymdra ar gyfer gyrru ar y lleuad yw 11 milltir yr awr / 18 cilomedr yr awr

·       Mae’r drychau a adawyd ar y Lleuad gan y gofodwyr yn parhau i gael eu defnyddio hyd heddiw fel ffordd o fesur y pellter rhwng y Ddaear a’r Lleuad

·       Mae mesuriadau’n dangos bod y lleuad yn symud i ffwrdd o’r Ddaear rhyw 3cm y flwyddyn

·       Gadawodd y dyn olaf y lleuad ar y 14eg o Ragfyr 1972

Dewch i glywed sgwrs Wayne er mwyn dysgu rhagor am yr hanes

Arguably mankind’s greatest ever achievement was landing 12 astronauts on the Moon and returning them safely to Earth.  This is the story of that achievement and the people involved. For example did you know that:

·       the journey to the Moon began in tragedy

·       the speed record for driving on the Moon is 11 mph / 18 Kmph

·       mirrors left on the Moon by astronauts are still used to measure the distance between Earth and Moon today

·       measurements show that the Moon is moving away from Earth at approximately 3 cm per year

·       the last man to leave the Moon was on 14 December 1972
